Framework

The course aims to update professionals in the air sector, in Portuguese-speaking countries, in one of the most advanced processes, which is a requirement of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), for application in airports.

This course has the participation of doctoral speakers , with extensive academic and professional experience in matters related to the aviation sector.

The course is divided into 2 modules, each module having 3 hours of classes.

Participants can register for the modules separately, or opt for the full course.

objective

To update and train professionals in the air sector, in Portuguese-speaking countries, bringing them a regulatory base from international regulatory bodies, and inspiring international examples of successful practices. It will also address challenges and cost-effectiveness proposals.

Recipients

It is aimed at managers and technicians linked to the air sector, private and public companies that provide services at airports, as well as consultants who need additional training in the airport area.

Program

The course is structured in 2 independent modules that cover, in Module 1, an introductory part, which encompasses the regulatory and legal basis of the area, which will serve to provide a better understanding of Module 2, which will enter the A-CDM subject in more depth.

 

Module 1- INTRODUCTION AND THEORETICAL BASIS (3 hours)

B. Relevant international legislation;

ç. Introduction to the CDM and A-CDM concept.

Module 2 - DEEPENING IN A-CDM (3 hours)

The. The A-CDM conforms to ICAO legislation and international applications;

B. Case Studies of airports with the process already implemented;

ç. Implementation challenges at a cost appropriate to global economic realities.

Calendar

The course will be held online , on a date to be announced shortly .

Each module has 3 hours of classes, from 7pm to 10pm (Portuguese time).

Registrations

Applications start on May 1st and end on May 31st, 2022.

Degree in Marine Systems Engineering for Electrotechnics and Telecommunications (ENIDH, 1993), Master in Operations Research and Systems Engineering (IST, 1996) and Doctor in Transport (IST, 2005). He has been professionally active since 1979: Merchant Marine Officer at SOPONATA (1979/1997), Aeronautical Telecommunications Technician at ANA, ep (1988/1995), and Professor at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) (since 1995). He is Assistant Professor at the Department of Aerospace Sciences (DCA) at UBI and Researcher at Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability (CERis, IST). He was President of the Scientific Council of the DCA of UBI between 2006/2009. His interests and areas of scientific activity are: Air Transport Economics and Management, Aircraft Operation, Flight Safety, and Aeronautical Project Management (Operational Research).

Researcher Doctor Omar Daniel Martins Netto

Air Traffic Controller, Master in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (Brazil) and Doctor in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Beira Interior (Covilhã). He has extensive professional experience in the Air Sector, in the areas of Air Traffic Control and Airports, is an ISO 9000 International Auditor and co-owner of the Heading Business Support Consultancy, based in Curitiba/Brazil. He is a member researcher of the transport systems research groups of the Transport Research Nucleus (NIT) at UBI and CERIS. His research area covers airports and air traffic services.
